A couple years ago I’d posted something on Facebook that, depending on whether you agreed with me or not, could have been described as a “screed” or “something pretty damn thoughtful”. A friend who fell into the latter camp commented “You need a Substack!” So I rushed over and signed up and proceeded to let more dust gather here than exists under most folks’ beds.
Meanwhile, America decided that four years of decency in the Oval Office was just four years too many and put Donald J. Trump (hereafter referred to as iDJiT - wish I could remember who coined this first so I could credit them but I can’t, just know I wasn’t that brilliant) back in there to see exactly how much damage The Great American Experiment could withstand. Since November, I’ve made it my mission on Facebook to be as obnoxious as possible in the face of what few conservatives and evangelical christians still engage with me over there. But even with that, I suddenly find myself wanting to write again.
Which brings us here today.
Not every post will be about politics or the dumpster fire that is currently America under iDJiT 2.0, but a lot of them will be. Some will fall under the general heading of just my musings on life. Maybe a little “getting to know me” every now and again.
Truthfully, I have no clue right now, but as the title says: Here we go . . .
Thanks Tamara!
